FAQ
Questions, answered.
Everything people ask us most about our flowers, orders and delivery.
What is in a Velora box?
Whole dried flowers and nothing else: no blends, no flavourings and no added colour. Each box holds 50 g.
Where do the flowers come from?
Our butterfly pea (Blue Bloom) and red hibiscus (Crimson Joba) are hand-picked in my mother’s rooftop garden in Narsingdi. Our roselle (Ruby Glow) is carefully sourced and chosen with the same care.
How are the flowers dried?
In a drying machine at low heat, not in the open sun. This keeps the colour bright and the flavour gentle.
Is the tea caffeine-free?
Yes. These are flowers, not the tea plant, so they are naturally caffeine-free.
Why does the colour change with lemon?
The natural pigments in the petals react to acidity. A few drops of lemon turn Blue Bloom from blue to violet. No colour is added.
How many cups are in a box?
It depends on how strong you like it. We use 4–5 butterfly pea flowers, 3–4 roselle calyces or 4–5 joba petals per cup. See our Brewing Guide.
How should I store it?
Keep the box closed, in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. The best-before date is printed on every box.
How much is delivery?
৳80 inside Dhaka and ৳120 outside Dhaka. Delivery on the Velora Trio is free anywhere in Bangladesh. See Shipping & Delivery.
How can I pay?
Cash on delivery: you pay when your order arrives. More payment options are coming soon.
Can I drink it every day?
Many people enjoy flower teas every day. As with any herbal infusion, if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or taking regular medication, please check with your doctor first.
Do you supply cafés and shops?
Yes. Visit Partner with Velora or message us on WhatsApp.
